Who we are
The Wilderness Medicine Nursing Association - home of the world’s first and only Wilderness Nurse First Responder certification.
The Wilderness Medicine Nursing Association is an international community of experienced and certified nursing and medical professionals dedicated to the promotion of high quality medical care in the wilderness, remote areas, disaster, and other austere settings.
The Wilderness Medicine Nursing Association thoroughly equips its members to save lives in any setting - from snow-covered mountain tops to blazing deserts to the deep sea. Our goal is to equip elite nurse first responders to save lives.
The Wilderness Medicine Nursing Association is the only wilderness medical organization dedicated to nurses, providing the industry’s first and only course and certification in Wilderness Medical Nursing - Wilderness Medicine Nursing First Responder (WMNFR) via fully online and hybrid platforms.
